Year at UW: Third

Hometown: North Bend, WA

About me: Hi! I'm a junior here at UW majoring in International Studies (with a focus in Ethnicity, Identity, and Migration) and minoring in Applied Math and Informatics. Throughout my years in UW, I've explored virtually every academic field out there; I did research on international development projects with the Evans School of Public Policy, worked as a volunteer tutor in the Seattle School District through Dream Project and Pipeline, competed in user-interface design competitions, and taken classes ranging from anthropology to computer science. If you're struggling to find the academic field that perfectly fits you, or you want help combining diverse interests, I would love to chat. Currently, I work on-campus as a writing tutor at the Odegaard Writing and Research Center. If you want to hear more about securing an on-campus job (or want feedback on your writing), reach out to me! In my spare time lately, I've been studying Russian (where I plan to travel after graduation), exploring Seattle parks, and attempting to find the best Indian restaurant in Seattle. Please let me know if you have insight on that last goal.
