Year at UW: First

Hometown: Seattle

About me: Hi there! My name is Serena and I am a freshman here at UW. I am a native Seattlite, and I am currently living in the Honors housing LLC. I intend to major in International Studies, with a minor in climate science. This sounds simple, but I have a *lot* of very different academic interests. I'm interested in economics, the environment, political science, international relations, language and human rights... thank goodness for interdisciplinary programs! Outside of classes, I am involved in UW's climbing community, and I work at the Crag's Climbing Center in the IMA, as an instructor and Student Program Lead. I am also currently an intern with Sustainable Seattle, which I found thanks to the UW's Undergraduate Community Based Internship Program. Please contact me with questions about the Jackson School of International Studies (JSIS) classes, the climate minor, UCBI, climbing, choosing UW or anything else you are wondering about!
