Honors Virtual Group Advising Session: What to today to prepare for an uncertain job market

May 12, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Have your summer plans been upended by COVID-19? Are you concerned about job hunting from a distance? Are you wondering what you can do right now to prepare to enter the job market and apply for internships, or wondering what the most current understanding of how the job market could look is?  Attend this session led by staff from the Career Center and Honors Program, and build a strategy for how you can use your interdisciplinary education and your specific strengths  to find unique and needed opportunities while “Staying Home, Staying Healthy.” We’ll discuss tools, best practices and strategies for finding and creating opportunities.  Come with or without questions, opinions or strategies-in-place.

In order to deepen the conversation and make it more applicable for your own individual path we recommend you take about 30 minutes to complete the interests and values assessments through pathwayU prior to the group advising session: https://careers.uw.edu/resources/pathwayu/.
