The University Honors Program engages a diverse population of students through a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum that promotes expansive, innovative thinking and conscious global citizenship. Honors students take intellectual risks; seek an understanding of the interdependence of all branches of knowledge; engage with the complexities of difference and diversity; and take leadership roles in navigating global change. At our annual graduation event, we celebrate UW Huskies who will be graduating with College or Interdisciplinary Honors. We also present the University of Washington Distinguished  Honors Alumni Award, acknowledging a member of our community who has made important contributions to society while leading a life of continuous learning and personal growth.

This year, due to restrictions on large-group gatherings, we will host an online Honors celebration for the class of 2020 on the morning of June 12, as originally scheduled. We’re working right now to design an experience that will resonate with you and your families, that empowers you to express your fondness, gratitude, encouragement, etc. with your peers, and that affords opportunities for genuine connection.

Honors hopes to also to include this year’s graduates in an expanded graduation celebration and/or special class of 2020 reception next spring, assuming it is advisable to convene. All eligible Honors Huskies will receive invitations via email with instructions on how to include friends and family in these event(s).
