About me: Hi everyone! My name is Cate, and I'm a second-year student at UW studying Biology and Public Health on a pre-medical track. I'm especially interested in exploring the intersections between human behaviour, natural environment, and community to support wellbeing. On campus, I'm the president of Peaks and Professors, an outdoor mentorship and community-building RSO; a research assistant in the Environment and Wellbeing Lab; and a Student Tour Guide, introducing our campus to awesome new students! I absolutely love Interdisciplinary Honors because it challenges me to connect subjects that I may have previously thought were disparate, encourages curiosity, and allows me to meet some really awesome people that I may not have otherwise interacted with on campus! This was especially helpful during my first year at UW, when I lived in the Honors LLC in Terry Hall. In my free time, you can find me doing all things outdoors, procrastibaking, seeking out live music, travelling, and reading in sunny spots on campus with friends. Please reach out with any questions about life at UW and in Honors, undergraduate research, the Honors LLC, or anything else at all--excited to hear from you!
