About me: Hi there! My name is Olivia Mian. I am a first-year student studying Biochemistry and Dance on the pre-med track, and I am excited to serve as a Peer Facilitator for the incoming Honors class this fall. After high school, I spent two years dancing professionally with a ballet company-an experience that allowed me to fulfill a childhood dream and gain a unique perspective returning to academics. Last summer, I spent time working on organic farms in Spain and France, which fed my love for cultural exchange and sustainable living. I'm continuing that global journey this summer through the UW Honors Study Abroad program in Sweden and Finland. I love all things travel, language, and adventure. Now that I am in Seattle, you can find me exploring the city, hiking new trails, or looking out for marine wildlife. On campus, I am a member of Aura Dance Company and am thrilled to be performing in the Master of Fine Arts Dance Concert this spring. When I'm not dancing, you might find me studying in sunny spots, grabbing a matcha, or shopping. I love making new friends, listening to new music, going out dancing, and trying new restaurants. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk about biochemistry, pre-med, dance, travel, or anything in between!
