Course Details

Discussion will focus on important literary texts of the twentieth century, as well as relevant works of art: movies, music, architecture, painting. Periods covered include symbolism, revolution, postrevolution, Stalinist, the “thaw,” and contemporary. An overview of a complex and often confusing literary and cultural scene throughout the century.
