I have always been interested in exploring different mediums of storytelling, whether that be through analyzing the brushstrokes of a painting or close reading the text of a novel. Throughout my time at UW, it has been my mission to challenge myself as a scholar by taking on new experiences such as studying abroad and taking part in both the Art History and English Honors Programs simultaneously, culminating in three theses: "Stability and Flux: Examining Temporality in Paul Cézanne's Landscapes," "Revealing the Modern Woman: Depictions of Berthe Morisot and Victorine Meurent in Édouard Manet’s Paintings," and "Expatriate Interpretation: Painting, Sculpture, and Artistry in Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Marble Faun." Alongside my studies, I have worked as a technical writer at UW's Sensors, Energy, and Automation Laboratory and a co-managing editor at UW's Bricolage Visual and Literary Arts Journal. I plan on pursuing a career in publishing in the future and to continue refining my skills as a writer.
