Proudest Moment: In my senior year, I created ISAIV, a non-profit dedicated to bridging survivors of interpersonal violence with crucial resources. In 1 year, we have made national connections and worked alongside UW faculty to strengthen mutual aid within Seattle.
Thesis: Optimizing mRNA Vaccines at the Intersection of Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, and Global Health
During my 4 years at UW, I explored a multitude of disciplines. I conducted biomedical research at the King and Ruohola-Baker lab, created an RSO that used art to improve student mental wellness, and established a non-profit dedicated to combating interpersonal violence. I also met incredible people that have shaped who I am today. My mentors in biochemistry and global health nurtured my love for entrepreneurship and research. My friends and family supported me through every step of my academic career and challenged me to chase after my goals. As of now, I am a step closer to achieving my dream of helping others through medicine, science, and advocacy. I will now be continuing my career as a post-baccalaureate at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School.
