Proudest Moment: Performing for elderly and disabled people at several care centers in the Seattle area with the Acting with Kindness student organization has been tremendously rewarding. I'll never forget seeing someone's eyes light up when she heard us perform a song from her favorite television show The Love Boat. I think it rekindled very fond memories for her and several of the other residents.
Thesis: Virtually There
chrishogan1000@gmail.comMusic and acting have been my passion for many years. My brother Matthew and I started playing dramatic improvisational games when we were very young, and I picked up the Trombone in high school. At UW, I had the privilege of appearing in the two short films Pseudonym and Good Boy with the LUX Film Production Club, a play about driving social and environmental progress called Something About Hope, and a voice-over narrative describing actual students' struggles with mental health. I designed sound for the 2019 UW School of Drama mainstage production of Body Awareness and performed popular-themed music in the Acting with Kindness student organization at over a half a dozen care centers in the Seattle area. More recently, I am directing an original play performed entirely in virtual reality that combines music, custom-built CGI scenery and motion capture technology.
