Marine Biology; Biology (Physiology)
Designation: Interdisciplinary Honors
Honors Grads 2020/2021
Proudest Moment: I was excited to be accepted to a PhD program directly out of undergrad. I will be starting my PhD in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Irvine in the fall of 2021. In graduate school I am planning to study the comparative functional morphology and biomechanics of swimming and feeding mechanisms in elasmobranchs (sharks, rays, and skates).
Thesis: The versatile skulls of herbivorous fishes: functional morphology of pacu jaws and teeth
epoulin@uci.eduI am passionate about marine life and evolutionary biology, and I am especially interested in learning about fishes. I loved my time at UW because I was able to explore my scientific interests and develop my skills as a researcher.
