Proudest Moment: I've had so much fun and have learned so much in my research of ravens in Yellowstone National Park. Getting involved with research was one of my goals going into college, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity I've had to be involved in the whole process, from data collection, to analysis, and finally the presentation of results.
Thesis: Using Fine-Scale Movement Data to Analyze Common Raven (Corvus corax) Roost Sites Across Time and Space in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem
Hello! My name is Georgia and I have spent the last four years immersed in the world of wildlife ecology. I never could have imagined all the opportunities that have come my way during my time at the UW. From studying abroad in Costa Rica, to leading students on field trips as a TA, to spending a week in Yellowstone National Park conducting research on ravens, it has been the most delightful adventure. Along the way I've learned to closely observe and identify nature in my surroundings and have gained a strong interest in ornithology, a field of science I now hope to pursue. With the support of my environmental peers and passionate professors (especially my mentor Dr. John Marzluff) I've gained the skills necessary to begin a career in wildlife science. I'm so excited to put my knowledge to use as a wildlife field technician and plan to eventually attend graduate school to further my skills as a wildlife biologist.
