sinhairika@gmail.comI graduated in March 2021 from the UW and will be attending the Neuroscience PhD program at Johns Hopkins University starting Fall 2021. I was involved in research throughout undergrad and explored a variety of fields (pathology, chemistry, immunology, and computational biology/bioinformatics) to find a good fit for my interests. Beyond research, I also worked in the Suzzallo and Allen Libraries (info desk), as a TA in the chemistry department, and with the Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment (chemistry tutor). I enjoy participating in bouldering and Taekwondo and also spend time illustrating (for the UW Daily and for fun), birdwatching, and messing around in Lightroom.
I presented my research at the 2019 and 2021 Mary Gates Undergraduate Research Symposiums and at the 2020 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students. I was a Husky 100 Scholar and received the Goldwater Scholarship in 2019, Washington Research Foundation Fellowship in 2019, Mary Gates Endowed Research Scholarship in 2018, and NSF GRFP honorable mention in 2021.
