Proudest Moment: Running home to Gamma Phi Beta after recruitment week, getting 100% on my research paper in my HIV/AIDS course, moving to France alone to study French and Global Health, securing my internship and first job at Seattle Children's Research Institute
maia.cunningham@hotmail.comI am from Vashon Island, WA where I lived with my mom, dad, younger brother, and dog (Major). I came into college with the intention of pursuing a medical or dental degree, but quickly found that my passions and interests aligned with Public - Global Health. I chose to declare my major as Medical Anthropology & Global Health and never looked back. Career-wise, I am particularly interested in pediatric clinical research and plan to pursue a PhD in order to facilitate my own lab. After college, I will be working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Seattle Children's in the Pediatric Pain and Sleep Lab.
Outside of work and school, I love to cook new recipes, play card games, travel, and read.
