Proudest Moment: Going to college nationals in Austin, Texas with the ultimate team, UW Element!

I am an ACMS Biological and Life Sciences major, hoping to apply something I love (math!) to solve real-world problems, especially around environmental issues. I am thankful for UW Interdisciplinary Honors and the diverse departments at UW for allowing me to take a large variety of courses, and letting me pursue and learn about all the things I'm interested in. It is wonderful to learn from professors who are passionate about their field and their students! I am also minoring in Norwegian; learning a new language has been a challenging and exciting process for me, and allowed me to feel more connected to my heritage, as well as introducing me to the wonderful community within the Scandinavian Studies department. While at UW I have played club ultimate frisbee on UW Element, and I am so thankful for the support, lessons, and life-long friends it has given me. Next year, I plan on taking a gap year and moving to Spain to teach English! This will be a new adventure for me as I figure out my next step.
