Proudest Moment: I am proud of the research project I have worked on over the past 6 months in which I have had the opportunity to dive into field and lab work with two of my favorite professors at UW as we explored the potential for kelps to be used in carbon sequestration.
nathanmock4102@gmail.comI am a native Seattleite and loved growing up here. Attending university here as an environmental studies major has allowed me to come to a whole new understanding and appreciation for the region and its social and natural history.
I pan to attend law school starting this fall and am excited to put my environmental studies background to use as I begin studying environmental law. While I will be attending Lewis & Clark Law School (in Portland) I hope to return to Washington to practice. I am not certain what sector of environmental law I will pursue yet, but I have a lot of interest in the emerging field of aquaculture in our state, specifically kelp aquaculture, which I have spent the last 6 months researching as a part of multiple courses and research projects.
Aside from law and kelp my interests include gardening, skiing, hiking, and biking.
