Proudest Moment: I'm very honored to have mentored undergraduate and high school students through my research lab and campus organizations. I am tremendously proud of my mentees — it has been thrilling to witness their growth and accomplishments!
Thesis: Design Principles for Mobile and Wearable Health Technologies
psr23@uw.eduI grew up in Bellevue Washington. I chose to attend UW for its outstanding research opportunities in computing and engineering. One of my favorite aspects of my education at UW has been participating in undergraduate research. My research focuses on expanding access to healthcare with mobile applications, wearables, and rapid diagnostic tests. Outside of my research, I enjoy supporting other undergraduates' research experiences as a mentor, and through campus student organizations.
I'm very honored to be recognized with a College of Engineering Dean's Medal. For my undergraduate research, I was awarded a Goldwater Scholarship, Washington Research Foundation Fellowship, Levinson Emerging Scholars Award, and Mary Gates Research Scholarship.
After graduation, I look forward to starting my PhD in computer science at Stanford University with support from a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
Thanks to my many amazing mentors for their inspiration and support. Most of all, thanks to my family, especially my mom, for keeping me grounded and making me smile.
