Graduating with Honors: Class of 2018
Graduating with Honors from the University of Washington is a huge accomplishment that speaks of many accomplishments along the way. This year, more than 300 of UW’s most fabulous undergraduates earned their degrees with Honors. In order to do so, they must have engaged in deep, faculty-guided inquiry within their chosen major, prioritized experiential, reflective, interdisciplinary learning over the course of earning their degrees, or some combination of the two.
Before our June 8 graduation event, we invited our newest Honors alumni to send in photos, quotes, and memories to share with the community. Check out their beautiful grad profiles here.
Dr. Jerry Baldasty shared his reflections and advice as he accepted the Distinguished Honors Alumni Award and then introduced Sienna Traverso as our 2018 student speaker. If you weren’t able to attend or just loved it so much you want to see it twice, here is a link to Sienna’s moving graduation address.
We’ve posted some of our favorite photos from Honors’ graduation event on our Facebook page.
