About me: Hi! My name is Lola, and I'm a junior at UW studying Biology. I am on the pre-medical track and am interested in pursuing a career within the broader medical field. I love how science gives us the ability to make peoples' lives better and healthier, and am passionate about equitable healthcare! I've been a part of the Interdisciplinary Honors Program since I started at UW, and am also pursuing Biology Departmental Honors. I've really enjoyed being in the Honors program, and am grateful that it's allowed me to explore some of my more humanities- and social sciences-based interests, opposite of my natural science major courses. At UW, I'm a part of the TriBeta Biological Honors Society, am involved at Hillel as the First-Year Engagement Intern, and play violin in the Campus Philharmonic Orchestra. I also work in a research lab at Seattle Children's Hospital, studying the malaria parasite. Out of school, I love to read, find good coffee shops, and spend time outside! Please feel free to reach out to me about any of these things, as well as anything Honors or UW related!
