About me: Hello Honors community! My name is Jaya, and I am intending to double-major in Law, Societies, Justice and Global Studies. I'm from Evanston, Illinois originally, so the PNW is a nice change of pace from the Midwest! I am a peer educator for Interdisciplinary Honors, Director of my residence hall's Hall Council, and hope to go to law school after UW to pursue Human Rights Law. My interests outside of school include reading (lots of James Baldwin), going to concerts, and playing guitar. If you want to chat about the Honors program, pre-law pathways, or being an out-of-state student, please reach out :)
