University of Washington Honors Program

The Honors Advisory Council is a faculty and professional staff body charged with representing the University Honors Program to campus communities and external stakeholders, promoting the program to their respective units and networks, contributing diverse and fresh perspectives to internal deliberations on long-term planning and program goals, and supporting review of proposed changes to Honors academic programming.

The Advisory Council meets twice per year to assess the quality of programs leading to the Interdisciplinary, Departmental, or College Honors diploma distinction, and advises the Honors Program leadership on matters pertaining to policy and changes in curricular and programmatic structure.

The Director of the Honors Program serves as chair of the Council, and members of the Honors Program staff are ex-officio council members. Other members are invited to serve based on their demonstrated commitment to the Honors Program and ability to bring unique expertise and insights that align with the Honors Program’s mission and values.
